For Savremena’s student Tara Ćulibrk the past period has brought new medals and even greater accomplishments in swimming, the sport she trains laboriously, yet with joy.
At the state championship held on 17 and 19 March, Tara won the silver medal in the 50 metre and 200 metre crawl and bronze in the 100 metre crawl. Nevertheless, the accomplishments of this Savremena’s student didn’t stop there, as Tara participated in two relay races in which she won a gold and a silver medal.
Part of the junior national swimming team
The accomplished results opened new doors for Tara and enabled her to join the junior national team, which she had always dreamed about.
She faced the first challenges in the new sports environment as early as on 1 and 2 April, when she participated in a four-part competition between Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia in Banjaluka. Tara achieved a great result and qualified for this year’s Balkanijada, which will take place in Sofia in early May, where she will wholeheartedly fight for new medals as part of our junior national team.
School support leads to even better results
Savremena’s students’ numerous medals prove that the supportive school environment is a prerequisite for great sports achievements. This is why the support and understanding that Tara and other young athletes at Savremena receive on a daily basis will remain present in the future.
We congratulate Tara on the medals she has won and wish her to keep winning in the upcoming competitions!
