String of wins continues
After numerous achievements in the previous season, Savremena’s football team continued their series of wins.
They came third at the tournament gathering football teams of private secondary schools from Belgrade and Novi Sad. Savremena’s students were further motivated by the tough competition to do their best and achieve the set goals through team spirit, mutual support and devotion.
In the quarterfinals, young Savremena’s footballers confronted the team of the “Živorad Janković” Secondary School from Novi sad and won by 1:0. The semi-finals saw the clash of two established rivals – Savremena and the “Kosta Cukić” Secondary School from Belgrade. In a tense match full of suspense both teams showed equal strength. However, a moment of inattention and loss of concentration resulted in the final score of 0:3, and Savremena’s team continued their fight for the third place.
Led by teacher Radojičić, Savremena beat the “E Gimnazija” secondary school from Novi Sad with a comfortable 3:0 win and earned the bronze medal.
Congratulations to our Savremena’s football players and thank you once more for making everybody at Savremena proud. We support them and anticipate new medals and new celebrations!
