Tara Papić secures place at national research project contest

At the 16th regional research project contest for students, held on Sunday, 7 May at the Uroš Predić Secondary School in Pančevo, Savremena’s student Tara Papić accomplished a remarkable result and secured her place at the national competition.

Paper in English – chance to demonstrate talent

At the contest organised by the Mihajlo Pupin Regional Talent Centre, talented students from all across Serbia showed their knowledge of physics, literature, ecology, psychology and foreign languages. Savremena’s student joined the group of talented secondary school students, winning as many as 94 points – almost the highest score – on her English paper!

Tara wrote an essay about her favourite band “My Chemical Romance”, and then presented her paper orally. She successfully overcame the last obstacle towards her goal when she proved that her knowledge of English grammar was also excellent. The next step is the national contest, which will be held on 3 and 4 June in Belgrade.

Bilingual education – inherent part of modern education

At Savremena International School, student have the opportunity to choose one of the educational programmes consisting of bilingual education.

Through this approach, Savremena’s students attending the Combined Bilingual Programme not only have lessons in English on a daily basis, but they also obtain knowledge from different fields and acquire technical terms, as confirmed by Tara herself.

I am extremely pleased and proud to be the parent of a Savremena student. During my first encounter with the school management, when I asked about my child’s potential enrolment, I saw how much love, enthusiasm and professionalism you put in your work. I was impressed by your approach, ideas and methods. I couldn’t believe something like this existed in our country! It doesn’t take long to realise that this is a school you would recommend to everyone. Creativity, modern technology, top-quality education, and most of all, the humaneness that can be seen throughout the school, make it truly different and worthy of its name – Savremena Gimnazija. With such an approach, the success of this school and, consequently, our children’s success, is unavoidable. Congratulations! Jelena Đorđević, Andrija’s mum
