Savremena’s kickboxer Nataša Katić won a gold medal at the Belgrade Trophy competition held on 10 June at the Radnički Sports Centre in Vračar.
Well-deserved place on the winners’ podium
The Belgrade Trophy competition gathered kickboxers from all over Serbia, and Nataša took first place in the junior 55 kg category. A tough competition of talented young fighters motivated Savremena’s student to use her excellent technique, impressive speed and determination to fight her way to gold.
Of the two scheduled matches, Nataša played only one, as one of her opponents unexpectedly retired in the semi-finals.
Each day, Nataša prepared and trained hard for the competition in order to reach the required level of fitness and performance, proving that such results cannot be achieved without effort. However, the preparation didn’t take a toll on her, considering how much she loves kickboxing, and the reward for her devotion and dedication was inevitable.
Congratulations to Nataša on this excellent martial success! We wish her many more medals and moments of the winners’ podium!
