The goal of the New Year's bazaar, held in our school during the last week of December, was to collect funds for charity.
Students of Savremena Gimnazija sold handmade crafts at the school's stands in the lobby, which they created with the help of their teachers during December workshops.
All funds collected at the bazaar have been donated to the "Budi human" Foundation for Milica Radenković.
Milica was born on 31 January 2006. At birth, she was diagnosed with spina bifida (a severe form of spinal deformity). She underwent immediate surgery, but as a consequence, walking became difficult and limited. She is a first-degree kidney patient, and in 2017, she was diagnosed with Syringomyelia and Tethered Cord Syndrome.
Milica needs money for medical consumables, daily physical therapy and a device called "Ginger MD", which would help preserve her ability to walk.
All praise to the students and teachers who participated in this charitable action. As we know, this is just one more in a series of their good deeds!
