Friday, 19 April, was an exciting day full of discoveries and learning for the first-year students, along with their teacher Slobodan Rodić. Their destination was the Pedagogical Museum, the guardian of precious stories and historical remnants related to Serbian education.
The permanent exhibition, open to the public since December 7, 2007, provided students with a unique opportunity to peek into the past and understand the journey Serbian education has taken from the Middle Ages to 1991. Documents, photographs, models, textbooks, teaching aids, as well as student and teacher works, bear witness to the richness of Serbian educational heritage.
The goal of the permanent exhibition is not only to inform but also to inspire. In a visually attractive way, the exhibition provided students with a deeper insight into the first treasures of Serbian education and their significance for the cultural heritage of the Serbian people.
Serbian Educational System and Ancient Rome in One Place
A particularly interesting moment of the visit was when students had the opportunity to compare the educational system in Serbia with the educational system of Ancient Rome, which they had recently learned about in their Latin language class. This comparison opened up new perspectives and encouraged reflection on the evolution of education through the centuries.
The visit to the Pedagogical Museum was not just an excursion but a journey through the history of education that will provide students with a deeper understanding of the history and values of their educational path.
