In April, second-year students had the privilege of visiting the Dositej and Vuk Museum, where they acquainted themselves with the lives and works of two significant figures in Serbian literature. This visit coincided with the Day of Remembrance for Dositej Obradović, providing students with the ideal opportunity to delve deeper into the lives of these two giants, considering they had already learned about Vuk's language reform in Serbian language classes.
The museum exhibition, housed in a building that once was Velika škola, provided students with a glimpse into the atmosphere where Vuk and Dositej likely met. The museum curator shared details about their lives and work, shedding light on their roles in the enlightenment movement. During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn about the challenges they faced in their endeavors, as well as the revolutionary ideas they sought to implement.
Furthermore, students heard interesting facts about the private lives of Dositej and Vuk, further enriching their understanding of these two giants. It was emphasized that such visits and educational activities play a crucial role in students' education, allowing them to experience history and culture firsthand and to form deeper connections with the material they learn in school.
