Successes of Student Veljko Đorđević in Basketball and Education

Student of Savremena gimnazija’s third grade, Veljko Đorđević has reached noticeable results at the basketball court. His sport trajectory started in KK Mega Banjica, where he spent his pioneering days. He later joined the cadet selection of KK Vizura, where he spent two years developing his skills and gaining precious experience.


Since 2023, Veljko has been a member of the Mladost Zemun junior selection. With his team, he competes both in Kvalitetna liga Beograda and in the senior league – Prva liga Srbije. His dedication to sport is exceptional, considering the fact that he has two practices a day, sometimes even three during the season, and all that with two games per week.

Thanks to the support of Savremena gimnazija, as well as his class teacher, Stefan Erčić, Veljko manages to balance his club responsibilities and his schoolwork. Savremena gimnazija provides the necessary flexibility which enables the students to reach their sport ambitions without sacrificing their education.
