On the occasion of 11 September, World First Aid Day, our student Aleksandar Kašerić had the idea to promote a whole week as First Aid Week. All the senior students had the opportunity to learn about methodology, terminology and the procedures related to the first aid treatment.
A year ago, Aleksandar Kašerić volunteered at the Red Cross organisation, where he had the opportunity to learn and apply basic first aid techniques. This year, on this occasion, he shared his knowledge. We were truly glad to learn that a number of seniors had volunteered in the Red Cross, while some of them had also participated in First Aid competitions.
We believe that this form of peer education is extremely important and contributes to empowering young people in their attempt to share their knowledge and transfer the skills they possess to their peers. First Aid training is vital as young people can learn how to help themselves or others in the case of emergency.
