Savremena’s student Dušan Vitezović competed in the National Rowing Championship, in the quad scull event, as a member of the Red Star Belgrade rowing club. Dušan’s boat finished fourth in the finals, taking 6 minutes and 37 seconds to cover two kilometres, the usual distance in rowboat racing.
Dušan imparted his love for rowing and Savremena to his sister
Dušan has been a rower since age 14. He says that he loves to do it because it requires teamwork and it is a quite demanding sport. His sister belongs to the same rowing club, and intends to attend our school, too. Dušan is sure that his sister will achieve a lot, too, and he hopes that they will represent our country in international events.
Over the last four years, Dušan took part in four national championships, and a number of other competitions in Serbia. He won four medals.
We are sure many more achievements are in store for Dušan, and we wish him the best of luck!
