CURRICULUM FOR THE SOCIO-LINGUISTICS DEPARTMENT WITHIN THE NATIONAL PROGRAMME

 

In the Socio-linguistics Department in Savremena Gimazija, special attention is paid to the acquisition of knowledge of the Serbian language and literature, as well as foreign languages, the study of psychology, philosophy, sociology, history, geography and art, whereby students acquire functional knowledge and skills that will make them the most successful students at domestic and foreign universities.

Although the focus is on social sciences and humanities, this department includes a lot of natural sciences as well, so students acquire a wide range of knowledge in mathematics, informatics, physics, biology and chemistry.

Contemporary in any sense of the word, our school offers functional knowledge and quality preparation for tertiary education in Serbia and abroad. Implementing modern and creative teaching in the classroom, where the teachers’ pedagogy and students’ performance are aligned with the highest academic standards for the high-school finals, our school develops linguistic, mathematical, scientific, artistic, cultural, technical and ICT competence, which is a prerequisite for further education and professional development. Teaching is supported by the interactive whiteboards and educational software, whereas practice exercises research and critical thinking.
