Savremena’s students enjoy Days of Fine Arts and Multimedia

On Monday, 27 March, Savremena’s students participated in the interactive art event, Days of Fine Arts and Multimedia at the Studentski grad Cultural Centre. In addition to the formal opening ceremony, the students attended the play “To Be, or Not To Be”, which officially marked the beginning of this Belgrade “art week”.

Creative and inspiring content for fun and learning

At the event organised by the students from ALUM’s Art Production and Media Management Department and their teachers, Savremena’s students gave support to the young artists and promising actors by attending the opening ceremony at the new “Portal” theatre. They enjoyed both rich cultural events and a top-quality play.

After the opening ceremony, graduate students from the class of Professor Božidar Đurović performed the play “To Be or Not To Be”, which Savremena’s students found particularly interesting because of its theme. Good acting skills, the combination of music and motion and the dynamic concept of a collage of Shakespeare’s tragedies “Othello”, “Hamlet”, “Romeo and Juliet” and “Macbeth” kept the attention of the audience who acknowledged their talent and gave them a thunderous round of applause.

Impressions as motivation for visiting cultural events

Positive impressions and numerous topics to ponder upon, incited by such art events, inspired Savemena’s students to discuss art, acting and the importance of movement and music in plays, even days after this visit.

They shared their impressions with their schoolmates, motivating them to join them next time at cultural and art events organised by Savremena. Visits to museums, theatres, cinemas and events like the Days of Fine Arts and Multimedia, an integral part of a diverse secondary education, enrich the experience of each student; a fact well known to everyone at Savremena.

I am extremely pleased and proud to be the parent of a Savremena student. During my first encounter with the school management, when I asked about my child’s potential enrolment, I saw how much love, enthusiasm and professionalism you put in your work. I was impressed by your approach, ideas and methods. I couldn’t believe something like this existed in our country! It doesn’t take long to realise that this is a school you would recommend to everyone. Creativity, modern technology, top-quality education, and most of all, the humaneness that can be seen throughout the school, make it truly different and worthy of its name – Savremena Gimnazija. With such an approach, the success of this school and, consequently, our children’s success, is unavoidable. Congratulations! Jelena Đorđević, Andrija’s mum
