Special award for Nikola Milosavljević at 19th International Guitar Festival

At the 19th International Guitar Festival held in the city of Rust in Austria, Savremena’s student Nikola Milosavljević won a special award for the best rendition of Venezuelan music in all categories within the “Alirio Diaz” competition.

Venezuelan spirit in the notes of Savremena’s guitarist

The jury consisted of guests from Venezuela, who recognised Nikola’s talent to “feel and understand the music of their country”, even though he comes from a country more than 9000 kilometres away.

A special honour for Nikola was the fact that one of the members of the jury was the son of a great maestro and famous guitarist, Alirio Diaz, who the competition was named after. The talented student received the award from the representatives of the Venezuelan Embassy in Austria and the “Alirio Diaz” foundation, and owing to this, Nikola had the honour of playing
at the festival’s closing ceremony, which was broadcast by Austrian national Television.

We congratulate Nikola on this valuable award. We are sure that this is just one in a series of accomplishments he will achieve in the future!

I am extremely pleased and proud to be the parent of a Savremena student. During my first encounter with the school management, when I asked about my child’s potential enrolment, I saw how much love, enthusiasm and professionalism you put in your work. I was impressed by your approach, ideas and methods. I couldn’t believe something like this existed in our country! It doesn’t take long to realise that this is a school you would recommend to everyone. Creativity, modern technology, top-quality education, and most of all, the humaneness that can be seen throughout the school, make it truly different and worthy of its name – Savremena Gimnazija. With such an approach, the success of this school and, consequently, our children’s success, is unavoidable. Congratulations! Jelena Đorđević, Andrija’s mum
