On Tuesday, 30 January, International School Savremena, in association with YouGrad Serbia, a College Counselling Centre that specialises in helping students find, prepare for, and apply to universities abroad, organised yet another presentation of a university for its students who are still searching for the right school to continue their education at. This time, Savremena’s guest was University of Redlands, California, and the students who had always dreamt of studying in the United States were particularly eager to ask numerous questions about this school.
About the University of Redlands
Being a private school located halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California, with mountains, cities, and beaches nearby, The University of Redlands offers more than 40 undergraduate majors, including Business Administration, Biology, Accounting, Computer Science, Chemistry, English Language and Literature, International Relations, and many more, as well as more than 10 for graduate students, including a two-year program in the Department of Communicative Disorders.
At Redlands, caring about the environment is not just an issue that students at Environmental studies major are interested in. This university encourages its students to help the environment by participating in the annual Recycle Day and working on the school's sustainable farm.
Because of Redlands' unique location, students have a variety of school-sponsored outdoor activities to try, such as hot air ballooning and sea kayaking. This university is also well known for its clubs for surfing and quidditch, the fictional sport in the Harry Potter novels. For student athletes seeking a more traditional route, Redlands has more than 20 sports teams, called the Bulldogs, which compete in the NCAA Division III Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
International School Savremena cares deeply about its students and takes pride in every achievement they make even after graduating. This is why it is trying to provide them with information about different prestigious universities and help them choose the one that fits their needs the most.
