Savremena’s students are constantly developing their knowledge in a truly different and interesting fashion through interdisciplinary and creative endeavors.
As part of the elective programme Art and Design, which, thanks to teacher Maja Živković generated great interest, the students were given a task on the topic of symbolism, in which they had to make a video to explain and present the era of symbolism.
Inspired by myths, legends and fables, symbolism is an international movement that came to life in Europe at the turn of the 19th and 20th century, and whose goal was to present things in art that cannot be rationally described. Some of its representatives in art include Paul Gauguin, Gustav Klimt and Auguste Rodin, and in literature the famous poets Charles Baudelaire, Alexander Block, Stéphane Mallarmé, Arthur Rimbaud, etc.
With her interactive approach, Art teacher Maja Živković managed to make a comprehensive connection between art and the Serbian language as a means of literary creation.
