Savremena’s student Nađa Pevac won a prize in the art competition “On the Wings of Emotion”

Year 11 student Nađa Pevac participated in the art competition “On the Wings of Emotion” created by the Student Section of the Serbian Neuroscience Society. Nađa won a prize for her entry depicting the impact of our surroundings on mental health. In her work, Nađa presented the feeling of sadness and the pressure and tension one feels when making everyday decisions.

Here is what Nađa said about the importance of the prize and her participation in the competition:
It was a great pleasure to participate in the art competition “On the Wings of Emotion”. What inspired me was the influence emotions and people around us have on us as individuals. I tried to present this negative impact of our surroundings through a work of art, focusing on wings as an element that represents never-ending hope and helps us fight the negative thoughts and influences.
I am extremely happy that I managed to transfer my perception and, most of all, emotions, to others. The prize came as a confirmation of my hard work and dedication. I am also grateful to my Art teacher, Maja Živković, class teacher Tamara Rajinac and other teachers for their support. It meant a lot.

Savremena Gimnazija takes pride in its students and will continue to encourage them to express their talent in the best possible manner.

I am extremely pleased and proud to be the parent of a Savremena student. During my first encounter with the school management, when I asked about my child’s potential enrolment, I saw how much love, enthusiasm and professionalism you put in your work. I was impressed by your approach, ideas and methods. I couldn’t believe something like this existed in our country! It doesn’t take long to realise that this is a school you would recommend to everyone. Creativity, modern technology, top-quality education, and most of all, the humaneness that can be seen throughout the school, make it truly different and worthy of its name – Savremena Gimnazija. With such an approach, the success of this school and, consequently, our children’s success, is unavoidable. Congratulations! Jelena Đorđević, Andrija’s mum
