The last farewell to a friend of our school

We regret to inform you that Dragoljub Đuričić, famous percussionist and a friend of our school has died. Savremena Gimnazija would like to say a last fond farewell to our friend. Dragoljub Đuričić had recorded over 70 albums, and played over 6,000 concerts, collaborating with the most popular musicians and singers of ex-Yugoslavia and beyond.  

During his visit to Savremena Gimnazija, a number of students wanted to learn more not only about his magnificent career, but also about countless entertaining anecdotes and memories he was willing to share. 

Sent off with thunderous applause at the end of his visit, he remains in fond memory of our students. Although we will never have another chance to spend time with him, he will forever remain a legend we will continue to talk about, and fondly remembered as a friend to our school whose planned humanitarian activities with our students were cut short by the pandemic. 

May he rest in peace!

Implementing modern and creative teaching in the classroom, where the teachers’ pedagogy and students’ performance are aligned with the highest academic standards for the high-school finals, our school develops linguistic, mathematical, scientific, artistic, cultural, technical and ICT competence, which is a prerequisite for further education and professional development. Teaching is supported by the interactive whiteboards and educational software, whereas practice exercises research and critical thinking.
