Students of Year 3 in the Combined Programme of Savremena Gimnazija, Isidora Jarić, Kai Vainomaa and Anđela Todorović, took the second place in the competition of secondary school students for their business plan design and presentation – Start-up and Student Entrepreneurship.
The online competition was held on Saturday, 24 April, and featured 12 student teams selected to present their business ideas to a jury of experts consisting of:
- Aleksandar Janjušević, Head of the Accounting and Auditing Department of the Ministry of Finance;
- Vladimir Vasić, Secretary General of the Association of Serbian Banks;
- Dr Irena Brajević, President of the Association of Serbian Secondary Schools;
- Professor Periša Ivanović, Executive Board Advisor for Retail and SME at AIK bank;
- Edo Duran, Senior Consultant for strategy and transactions at the Ernst & Young auditing firm;
- Enes Hanić, fullstack software engineer at the GetSwift IT company;
- Dr Dejan Erić, Dr Svetislav Paunović and Dr Branko Živanović, professors at the Belgrade Banking Academy.

The competition was preceded by a seminar on business plan development. What are your impressions about the introductory seminar on entrepreneurship?
Anđela Todorović and I attended the introductory seminar. We were pleasantly surprised by the dedication of lecturers, which greatly helped us in the realisation of the business idea. Professors explained segments in economics (banking and business) through presentations, and we learned a number of new things and concepts.
What are your impressions about the organisation of the competition in innovative entrepreneurship?
The organisation of the competition was excellently prepared given that we had preparatory seminars. The deadline for submitting papers was quite generous, and thanks to the help of our Business teacher, Marija Milić, we managed to do everything we wanted on time.
