This year Savremena Gimnazija has joined the eTwinning project within Erasmus+ programme, entitled 6Rs of sustainability.
The students who have joined this project will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills regarding healthy environment preservation and also to learn to have a sustainable lifestyle. Our students will take part in numerous project activities and solve interesting tasks, aiming at raising awareness of the importance of this topic. Not only does sustainability improve the quality of our life but protects our ecosystems and preserves natural resources for future generations.
Sustainability concept is significant and beneficial for the whole world because by implementing it we provide clean and healthier conditions to support life. Our current choices and activities have a long-term impact on future generations. Observing sustainability ensures making morally right decisions which will enable a safe future for everyone.
Rethink, refuse, repair – the new rules of sustainability
We can protect our environment only if we turn towards a sustainable way of life. Waste management concept framework so far has introduced a general 3Rs rule: reduce, reuse and recycle, but now as the sustainability concept we introduce a new 6Rs rule – reduce, reuse, recycle, rethink, refuse, repair, the one our students will focus on in their project in order to promote sustainability as a path for better future.
