How to leverage students’ interests and skills to maximise the impact of teaching?
Savremena Gimnazija demonstrated one more time that its teachers are innovative leaders in the world of education as the presentation of a Savremena Gimnazija English teacher Milice Aleksić was selected for this prestigious event.
The issue of getting students engaged and the effects of motivation on their attainment are important topics, especially nowadays when students are exposed to numerous types of content in a real and virtual environment. A constantly growing challenge for teachers on how to motivate students to focus on educational content emphasises that one of the key factors of successful communication, students’ engagement and high achievements is taking into account learners’ interests and existing skills.
Teacher Milica tackled this topic in her presentation Leveraging Students’ Interests and Skills to Maximise the Impact of Teaching and presented the examples of good practice as well as projects carried out at Savremena Gimnazija which prove the quality of products resulting from open and innovative interaction between students and teachers.
