On Thursday, 12 May, our Senior students went on a field trip. This year's destination was Novi Sad, the European capital of culture for 2022.
On their way to Novi Sad, the Senior students visited the monastery of Krušedol on Fruška gora and the historic place of Sremski Karlovci. While in Novi Sad, they visited Petrovaradin fortress, tried out their fitness at Adrenalin park, and then they took the chance to enjoy the city's beautiful places and explore them for their project.
Savremena students as tourist guides
Before the students set off, they had been assigned tasks which required them some skills they will surely find useful in future. The students were supposed to organise a three-day visit to Novi Sad and its surroundings for a defined group of tourists, bearing in mind the tourists' profiles and allocated budget.
In order to complete the task successfully, it was necessary to analyse their tourists' profiles, together with what Novi Sad has to offer in terms of culture, history, entertainment and, of course, gastronomy. The most important part referred to the budget, i.e. developing financial literacy and managing money, which is definitely the skill students will need, especially if they decide to go to university far away from the family home.
The most exciting part of the trip was definitely at the Adrenalin park, where our students had so much fun, while demonstrating how skillful and brave they were.
We hope that this last field trip with Savremena offered some new experiences providing our students a few lessons in resourcefulness, determination, and above all, friendship.
