Visit to DHL company, a part of „Parents at Work”

Savremena students visited the DHL company on Tuesday, 15 May, 2022, as a part of the Parents at Work project. DHL is a global leader in the logistics industry and the company specialises in international shipping, courier service and transport. Our students could see and learn about the whole import process of the DHL company.

During the visit, our students could:

  • tour the station, including the customs section of the DHL storage space as well as the one outside of the customs office premises;
  • watch unloading of a plane container;
  • find out about classification and scanning of imported packages;
  • learn more about import/related procedures of express air shipment;
  • learn about customs rules and procedures regarding imported items;
  • get to know about the manner and requirements regarding storing packages under customs control;
  • learn about devices for shipment security control (a security scanner and the device for discovering explosive traces).
