Employees of Savremena Gimnazija visited Spain as part of the Erasmus+ project

In addition to the existing modern tools and approaches in teaching, Savremena Gimnazija strives to additionally educate its employees in order to have a more creative, more receptive and, above all, better transfer of knowledge to students.

As part of the Erasmus+ project "Flipped Classroom Methodology", English language teacher Olivera Marjanović, geography teacher Ivan Matejić and Serbian language and literature teacher Marija Pilčević Tomašević, together with teachers from Bulgaria ("Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School), attended the Flipped Classroom course organised by the "Inercia Digital" educational centre (Spain). Not only will they use the knowledge gained on the course in their own work, but they will also pass it on to other colleagues and thus spread knowledge and skills that enable professors to have a more creative, interesting and high-quality approach to teaching.

Developing interactive, collaborative, hands-on classroom activities

Thanks to this Erasmus+ mobility project, the teachers from Savremena, together with their colleagues from Bulgaria, had the opportunity to enjoy a five-day study in the south of Spain, in Andalusia. The overall goal of the course is to train teachers and students to use a set of digital tools to create engaging instructional videos and develop interactive, collaborative, hands-on classroom activities that foster self-directed learning skills and everything else necessary to implement the Flipped classroom method.

Course participants had the opportunity to visit the Pedagogical Museum of the University of Huelva, where they got acquainted with the history of teaching tools, textbooks, classrooms, etc.
