This year again, Savremena Gimnazija gave its students the opportunity to compare their knowledge of English with the knowledge of their peers from all over Europe. As a grammar school focused on functional knowledge and skills, and a school that wants to enable students to progress comprehensively, we recognised that such contests that test skills and useful knowledge are an excellent motivation for students to work on improving them.
More than 22,000 participants from 704 schools from 34 European countries participated in this year's "Best in English" contest for secondary school students, which was held on 30 November. Students competed in reading, listening and general language skills.
Only words of praise for the success of our student Andrea Stojko
We are proud that our first-grade student Andrea Stojko took 23rd place in Serbia in the contest of students from the 1st to 4th grade of secondary school. Kudos to Andrea for her success and her foreign language skills. We believe that she still has a lot of contests to participate in and great results to achieve.
We congratulate all the participants and hope that next year there will be even more students who will participate and achieve even better results.
