On 28 March, students of Savremena Gimnazija Klara Petrović and Lara Veselinović participated in the finals of the startup competition for third and fourth-grade students called "Entrepreneurship in IT", which was organised by Information Technology High School for the first time this school year. The invitation to the competition caused great reactions and a great response from the competing teams.
The competition started at 1.30 pm and took place in the Amphitheater of Annex G. The host of the programme was teacher Mladen Stanić, and a total of 20 teams presented their startup ideas to the audience. The expert jury carefully listened to all the entrepreneurial ideas and chose the team that had the best idea and at the same time presented it best.
I meet new, ambitious people who broadened my horizons
This was not the first startup competition that I participated in, but it was my favourite so far. Not only because I had a great time, but also because I met new, ambitious people who broadened my horizons. I am especially proud of Klara's and my work, because we tried to creatively present a good business idea in those five minutes, and I think we succeeded in that. Although we didn't take home any "material" prize, the biggest prize for me is, first of all, the experience I gained, said Lara Veselinović.
This competition was one unforgettable experience
First of all, I would like to thank my teachers, Milica Aleksić and Tamara Rajinac, who were a great support to us throughout the competition. The very process of coming up with ideas and creating a presentation was a way to get to know all the steps that are key to creating a good business. The fact that I had the opportunity to listen to all the ideas and talk to all the ambitious participants was for me the best part of this competition. I am happy that in just five minutes, Lara and I managed to present our creativity and business idea and, most importantly, spark the other participants’ interest. This competition was one unforgettable experience, said Klara Petrović.
