Luka Maričić, a student at Savremena Gimnazija, is a national rowing champion

Luka Maričić, a second-year student at Savremena Gimnazija, not only stands out with his academic achievement and good behaviour at school but also achieves outstanding sports results.

Luka is the national rowing champion. At the beginning of the school year, he achieved excellent results in the cadet category (KM 4-), securing first place with his team. They completed a 2,000-metre race in just 6.26 seconds. Right from the start of the race, they pulled ahead of all the crews and maintained their lead until the very end.

During the rowing competition, Luka was cheered on by his class teacher, Zorana Millićević, who reflected on all of Luka's achievements, his work ethic, and relationships with classmates and teachers, highlighting Luka's discipline, perseverance, and determination to achieve outstanding results in school.

In addition to the National Championship, Luka won an excellent third place at the Balkan Championship in the 2,000-metre race, which he and his team completed in 5.57 seconds. This further confirms Luka's dedication, hard work, and persistence in all his endeavours.
