Savremena High School hosted an extraordinary event called "Days of Empathy," where students and teachers contributed to the development and understanding of empathy through the Link Kidz project. The initiative brought together talented students such as Elena Lada, Anastasija Macut, Matija Vojinović, Klara Petrović, and Lara Veselinović, whose projects were in focus.
Classes I/1, I/3, I/6, IV/1, and IV/2 led discussions, exploring implemented projects, while members of Link Kidz, especially from the third grade, actively participated in conversations. Teachers Marija Đorđević, Milica Ivanović, Jelena Spasojević, Vanja Šimpraga, Zorana Putniković, and Maja Merdović provided crucial support, enabling presentations and discussions on empathy in their curriculum.
Achieving goals through student collaboration and leadership
The Link Kidz project aimed to connect students to enhance collaboration and empathy, which resonated particularly among the first graders. Elena Lada stood out with a presentation in the civic education class, while Anastasija, Matija, Klara, and Lara encouraged deeper understanding of empathy among peers through their contributions.
Inspirational contributions of students
Anastasija Macut sparked a discussion in the Serbian language class through her song, while Matija Vojinović initiated significant conversations about empathy with a presentation in the class community. Klara Petrović and Lara Veselinović focused on storytelling and discussions about empathy, raising awareness among peers. Class IV/1 expanded the discussion in English and Serbian language classes, incorporating different perspectives and understanding of empathy.
The project received broad community support and gratitude, demonstrating how school initiatives can contribute to broader social understanding and application of empathy. Savremena High School proudly highlights the success of the Link Kidz project as an example of how education and collaboration can lead to significant social change.
