Second Place in the English School Project Presentation Competition

Savremena Gimnazija answered to the invitation to participate in the English school project presentation competition organized by the Department of English Studies at Singidunum University. The competition's theme was "A Story from Our School that Inspires."

The final presentations were held at Singidunum University in Belgrade on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, for schools from all over Serbia. The aim of such competitions is to encourage students to find inspiring stories from their surroundings, develop their creativity, confidence, and communication skills, as well as to foster mutual acquaintance and camaraderie.

Final year students from our school, Klara Petrović and Iva Nikolić, presented the school project "Ekoolovke," which was implemented in the school last year. Their mentor in English presentation skills and public speaking was English teacher Milica Aleksić.

The faculty's expert jury evaluated not only the projects, but also the manner of presentation, the quality of English language, persuasiveness, expressiveness, and other linguistic characteristics important for public speaking, and based on these criteria, they decided on the awardees. We are proud to say that our students won a brilliant second place in a competition of 25 teams from all over Serbia.

This is yet another testament to the quality of teaching and the dedication of both students and teachers to improving the skills needed for further life and work in contemporary society.
