Five days immersed in the culture and history of Milan, Bergamo, and the Lombard Lakes
On 30 September, third-grade primary school students embarked on an unforgettable study trip to Italy, where they spent five days exploring the rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks of the country. The journey, which included travel through the landscapes of Croatia and Slovenia, gave the young travellers the chance to discover notable sites and the captivating history of Italy.
The richness of Italian culture through the landmarks of Milan
Upon arriving in Milan, the students visited the Duomo Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, where they learned about the religious and artistic heritage spanning centuries. Their walk continued to Piazza Mercanti and the Royal Palace, where the students expanded their knowledge of Milan’s political history. During the tour, they also had the opportunity to visit the renowned La Scala opera house and the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, further deepening their understanding of the city’s art and culture.
The second part of the trip was dedicated to the historic city of Bergamo, where students admired the medieval architecture, the modern part of the city, and the stunning Lombard lakes. The visit to Lake Maggiore and the elegant city of Como offered a chance to enjoy the natural beauty and historical heritage of the region.
At the end of the trip, the students returned with new knowledge and unforgettable experiences. This excursion was not only an opportunity for enjoyment but also for gaining valuable educational insights that will enhance their understanding of history, art, and culture.
