Students from Class III-6, accompanied by their homeroom teacher Zoran Milićević, visited the Museum of Broken Relationships, a unique traveling exhibition that brings together personal items and stories of sentimental value. This exhibition, composed of items donated by people from around the world, carries emotional narratives about broken relationships and their impact on individuals' lives.
The Museum of Broken Relationships is an artistic project established in 2006 by its creators, Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić. They have developed a platform where objects are associated not only with sorrow but also with learning and new beginnings. The students had the opportunity to delve into the stories behind these items, which proved to be an emotional and cathartic experience for many of them.
This visit served as an inspiration for a creative activity that the students of Class III-6 will undertake during their art and design class. In the coming days, the students will bring in items with personal stories, and the results of their artistic expression will be showcased in an exhibition they are preparing for the school community. Visitors will have the chance to peek into the intimate, creative worlds that the students have crafted, learning from others' experiences and through their own emotions.
The Museum of Broken Relationships reminds us that emotional experiences, whether painful or liberating, form the foundation for artistic expression and personal growth.
