Savremena Gimnazija Student Jana Nikolić Shines at the FIS Camp in Austria

Jana Nikolić, a student of class III-7 at Savremena Gimnazija, spent October and November 2024 in Austria at the prestigious FIS Development Programme Alpine Training Camp. The four-week camp brought together promising skiers from around the world, offering them the opportunity to refine their skiing techniques with the guidance of renowned Italian coaches.

For Jana, this camp was a step forward in her preparations for the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival, which will take place in February in Georgia. The intensive training sessions and international collaboration enabled her to improve her skills and gain invaluable experience that will support her in future sporting challenges.Developing Language Skills Alongside Athletic Excellence

In addition to advancing her athletic abilities, Jana took the opportunity to develop her language skills. During the camp, she communicated in English with coaches and peers from various countries, further improving her language proficiency thanks to the knowledge she gained through the Cambridge programme and English classes at Savremena Gimnazija.
