The end of the calendar year and the first semester at Savremena Gimnazija bring exciting challenges for our students. Through creative and research projects in English, students of all grades have the opportunity to showcase their skills and interests.
- First-year students explore how New Year’s celebrations and holidays during this period are marked in different countries and cultures. Using Canva to create presentations, they research traditions and customs and then present their findings to their peers.
- Second-year students engage in culinary video projects. They are tasked with independently or collaboratively recording the preparation of their favourite dish or dessert, providing a detailed explanation of the process, thus developing their creative and practical skills.
- Third-year students design their own festival. They approach the organisation and planning creatively, proposing conceptual solutions that include all the necessary elements and illustrations. These projects are a true reflection of their imagination and ability to execute complex ideas.
- Fourth-year students delve into more serious linguistic topics. They investigate the variations and dialects of the English language, ranging from Australia to America and within the United Kingdom. Preparing for academic challenges at future universities, students tackle these topics with seriousness and curiosity, exploring elements of the language they are only now beginning to fully understand.
These projects not only help students improve their grades but also develop their research and presentation skills, equipping them for future academic and professional challenges.
