On 24 January, Savremena’s futsal team took part in the municipal football championship, held at the “Vračar” Sports Centre, and, despite tough competition secured its place in the semifinals.
The team consisting of Boško Meštrović, Andrija Džambazović, Goran Lončar, Ognjen Tadić, Bogdan Veličković, Jovan Maksimović, Filip Simić, Đorđe Taševski, Pavle Stanić and Luka Ljubiša, once again showed that perseverance and team spirit can lead to high ranking at sports competitions.
Shared effort for an even greater success
The team coached by the PE teacher Stefan Radojičić beat the well-prepared team from the Technical School of Architecture in the quarterfinals, demonstrating their talent and ball-handling skills. A 1:0 win secured their place in the semifinals, where they confronted the slightly tougher team from the Third Belgrade High School. Despite their brave fight and effort, they didn’t make it to the finals and the competition ended there for Savremena’s team.
We support the young and talented Savremena’s team and encourage them to continue in their path, as their effort and dedication are soon to be tested at the upcoming competition.
