Representatives of European Universities Consortium at International School

On Monday, 2 March, International School hosted representatives of European Universities Consortium (EUC). Year 13 students had an amazing opportunity to learn more about the universities they’re interested in; the event also served as a kick-start for the indecisive ones.

What is EUC?

European Universities Consortium is an alliance of eight high-ranked universities located in Austria, Belgium, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. All universities in the consortium are accredited, offer programmes taught entirely in English, and have a large percentage of international students on campus.

The member universities of the EUC are: Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), Carl Benz School (Karlsruhe, Germany), EHL (Lausanne, Switzerland), IE University (Madrid, Spain), Jacobs University (Bremen, Germany), Vesalius College (Brussels, Belgium), Modul University Vienna (Vienna, Austria) and Trinity College Dublin (Dublin, Ireland).

Great presentation and high attendance

The students seized the opportunity to meet with representatives of this consortium and learn more about these universities’ bachelor programmes. At the very beginning, the students saw a general EUC presentation, which was followed by short presentations from all universities. The event was concluded by a mini-fair of sorts, where the students had a chance to discuss individual programmes directly with the university representatives.

Since International School cares about its students’ future career success, providing them with useful information about study opportunities is the least we can do.

I am extremely pleased and proud to be the parent of a Savremena student. During my first encounter with the school management, when I asked about my child’s potential enrolment, I saw how much love, enthusiasm and professionalism you put in your work. I was impressed by your approach, ideas and methods. I couldn’t believe something like this existed in our country! It doesn’t take long to realise that this is a school you would recommend to everyone. Creativity, modern technology, top-quality education, and most of all, the humaneness that can be seen throughout the school, make it truly different and worthy of its name – Savremena Gimnazija. With such an approach, the success of this school and, consequently, our children’s success, is unavoidable. Congratulations! Jelena Đorđević, Andrija’s mum
Contemporary in any sense of the word, our school offers functional knowledge and quality preparation for tertiary education in Serbia and abroad. Implementing modern and creative teaching in the classroom, where the teachers’ pedagogy and students’ performance are aligned with the highest academic standards for the high-school finals, our school develops linguistic, mathematical, scientific, artistic, cultural, technical and ICT competence, which is a prerequisite for further education and professional development. Teaching is supported by the interactive whiteboards and educational software, whereas practice exercises research and critical thinking.
