Upon the initiative of Savremena Gimnazija students, Andrea Stojko and Katarina Mitić, as well as members of the LINK kidZ & Youth WBCC association and the Student Parliament, a humanitarian action to collect clothes for children from the Drop-In Centre was organised at school during November and December.
An 'empty store' was set up in the school premises, where students and teachers brought clothes every day that were either too small for them or no longer needed. Once the store was filled, a visit to the Drop-In Centre was organised on 18 January and all the donated items were given to the children.
Their happiness was invaluable and we are also delighted because the students of Savremena Gimnazija, along with their teachers, once again demonstrated how united and humane they are.
We look forward to future humanitarian actions and initiatives from our students to help others.
