Savremena Gimnazija Students Participate in the OACMUN 2024 Conference

Savremena Gimnazija students took part in the Ordo ab Chao Model United Nations (OACMUN) 2024 conference. The conference took place from February 23rd to 25th, 2024. The first day's sessions were held at Prva ekonomska škola, the second day’s - at the Metropolitan University, and the closing ceremony was held at Dom kulture Studentski grad. Guest lecturers at this United Nations simulation conference were Boris Malagurski and Vuk Jeremić. At OACMUN 2024, an alternative history committee was introduced for the first time in Serbia.

The participation of our students in such events is of great importance, as they gain new knowledge, develop communication skills, familiarize themselves with the workings of the United Nations Council, and have the opportunity to visit various embassies in Belgrade. Additionally, Savremena Gimnazija students have formed friendships with students from other schools and future colleagues on this occasion.

We commend students Aleksandar Karadžić, Andrej Kovačević, and Jana Miljković, who achieved notable success at the OACMUN conference, even though they are only in their first year at Savremena Gimnazija! Luka Radovanović, a second-year student, also joined OACMUN 2024, as an experienced participant in such conferences. We are confident that many more MUN conferences lie ahead for them, where they will stand out as successful participants.
