We congratulate our students on the significant results in swimming

Savremena International School swimming team, led by their PE teacher, Stefan Radojičić, had a debut on Wednesday, 9 December, at the city high school swimming competition. The sports center ``11 April ``had the opportunity to host the students of Belgrade high schools. Savremena International School swimming team consisted of the following students: Tara Ćulibrk, Aleksa Popović, Karim Faris, Vuk Vuković i Aleksandar Kosanović.

Carefully selected team

Some members of our school swimming team have been actively and professionally engaged in swimming (Tara and Aleksandar). However, according to our PE teacher, Stefan, a crucial factor in the process of forming the team was their commitment to PE lessons, especially to the lessons that were held in the pool. As responsible, mannered and disciplined individuals, they carefully followed the instructions of their PE teacher Stefan in order to perfect their swimming skills as well as strengthen their sporting spirit. In short, they showed excellent sports manners.

I swim for my school

As the school bus approached the sports centre the members of our team were getting more and more excited. However, all of it transformed into a charge of positive energy when they entered the pool. Warming up, negotiating tactics, last advice before the start of  the competition and the announcer declared the beginning of the show.

Five extraordinary swimmers climbed to the starting block and swam as fast as they could. Aleksa swam breaststroke and the rest of our team competed in swimming crawl style. Competition was fierce since over twenty secondary schools and more than 150 students took part in it.

I am extremely pleased and proud to be the parent of a Savremena student. During my first encounter with the school management, when I asked about my child’s potential enrolment, I saw how much love, enthusiasm and professionalism you put in your work. I was impressed by your approach, ideas and methods. I couldn’t believe something like this existed in our country! It doesn’t take long to realise that this is a school you would recommend to everyone. Creativity, modern technology, top-quality education, and most of all, the humaneness that can be seen throughout the school, make it truly different and worthy of its name – Savremena Gimnazija. With such an approach, the success of this school and, consequently, our children’s success, is unavoidable. Congratulations! Jelena Đorđević, Andrija’s mum
