Savremena International School was founded with the view to creating a school in Serbia which would not only be tailored to suit the students and their parents, but also teachers. At the beginning of the school year, each student chooses their personal mentor - one of the teachers who they can relate to and feel emotionally safe with. The mentor serves as a bond between the school and the parents. Parents can consult the mentor regarding school matters, including how their child is coping with academic requirements and how well they are fitting in the environment.

In addition to contact hours, teachers also have access to our online learning platform, where they can add electronic lesson materials along with additional content for those who want to learn more. Using IT both in the classroom and outside of it, we strive to develop your computer literacy, and by means of various workshops and group activities we want to boost your life skills which are just as important as professional expertise in this fast-changing world.
- Bilingual programme
In our school, teachers can choose between a teaching programme in English or in Serbian, selecting either the Serbian National or Cambridge International curriculum. For those who are fluent in both languages, we offer the possibility to teach bilingually. Teachers are provided with reference material in both languages, in paper as well as in electronic form. Teachers who teach following the national curriculum can attend various accredited seminars to improve professionally. The school also organises online courses and training sessions provided by the University of Cambridge.

The modern five-floor building in downtown Belgrade offers the most advanced teaching aids, good lighting conditions, ergonomically designed seats and interactive whiteboards. Savremena International School provides a cosy area where teachers can relax, chat prepare for teaching. They can use the school canteen for lunch or relaxing during recess. If, however, the teacher wants to spend some free time working or reading, there are state-of-the-art IT rooms and library in Serbian and English.

In a time when we are faced with a multitude of challenges, our school vowed to keep all challenges safe and morally appropriate where your child’s stay at Savremena International School is concerned. That is why our security system allows our school’s security staff to follow the movement of students and teachers within the school and its immediate surroundings. Each teacher must scan the personal ID card when entering and exiting the building, and the school records are kept in the electronic diary.
