Savremena Gimnazija at the expert panel about media literacy

The fact that the lessons carried out by the teachers of Savremena Gimnazija are truly different is confirmed by the invitation of the “Edukativ 2020” association to present the example of good practice related to the subject Language, media and culture at the accredited expert panel “Developing media literacy and critical thinking in education”. 

Teacher Zoran Putniković together with the students who chose this elective subject did the project on media literacy which turned out to be extremely successful. Having sent to the association the idea about the project as an example of good practice, she received the information that the material will be published in the expert panel publication and she was invited to present her work and school at the panel as a presenter.

Savremena showcased the exceptional examples of good educational practice

This was a great opportunity for Savremena Gimnazija to present itself and share the values it promotes to the audience of language teachers from all of Serbia and the region. Furthermore, Savremena Gimnazija demonstrated a variety of creative ways to present and teach a syllabus unit. 

The panel was organized at the beginning of June and, due to the epidemiological situation, it was organized online. Teacher Zorana Putniković presented the main project ideas on media literacy, challenges that she had faced herself and showcased the best students’ works selection.

She received only compliments on her talk from the other panel participants and you can learn more on what she spoke about at the panel and the way she presented the school from the presentation she had prepared for the occasion. 

Participation at the events such as this one is proof of Savremena Gimnazija’s quality as well as of its teachers, students and policy.
