Building upon the successfully conducted experiments at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences Vinča (you can read all about it here), Savremena Year 2 students had the opportunity to conduct the experiments in school as well. The experiments were conducted under the mentorship of Gvozden Tasić and the Institute facilitators as well as subject teachers Nina Stevančević, Tea Belojica, Jovana Dukić and Jelena Zelenović.
Practical application and the potential of hydrogen
The experiment topic was Electrolytic decomposition of water into hydrogen and oxygen, which allowed students to understand the practical application and the potential of hydrogen and to carry out the experiments to identify the speed of hydrogen isolation and define the volume of the gas obtained through Faraday's laws of electrolysis.
We are so proud that our students, two years in a row now, demonstrate such enthusiasm and knowledge regarding natural science experiments.
